- Johno Fitzgerald

Johno Fitzgerald is 2021's final Adder of the Week after scoring a half century in the 2nd XI's final league match last weekend against Chessington CC.

2021 has been Johno's first season with Addiscombe CC and he has been an excellent addition to the club.

He has kept wicket well and has scored over 350 runs as well.

In response to his award, Johno said:

"My first season has been enjoyable but from a batting perspective is has been frustrating as I’ve struggled to get runs for the 2s. Just glad to finally get some in the final match and will look to pick this up again next season!"

And his skipper, Antony Starnes said:

"Well batted Johno! A very good innings and kept us in the game. Was also nice for him to finally get some runs in the 2s!"

We had an excellent End of Season Curry and Karaoke Night at the club last Saturday.

Through the raffle, auction and donations we raised £840 for Mencap's work with people with learning difficulties which is fantastic. Thanks to Keeley Cricket for donating a bat and to all those who generously donated prizes.

Big thanks to Darren and Sue for laying on a great night and a tasty curry and also to Vinay who cooked an lovely vegetarian option.

With the karaoke, there was some great performances.

Lewis Noble's She's a Belter got the party started, Ray Munn's Day Dream Believer had everyone singing along and the 1st XI's rendition of I Get Knocked Down But I Get Up Again got us focussed on better results for the 2022 season!
