Award goes to our Junior Manager whose teams have won 2 league titles this season

This week, the captains and Chairman decided that the Adder of the Week should be awarded to Raminder Chima who manages Addiscombe CC's Junior section.

This is the second year Raminder has run the Juniors and our three teams have had exceptional seasons. Two of the teams, the U13s and U14s won their leagues and the U11s came runner-up in theirs.

It is a great performance and it has been so positive to see more younger players take the step into senior cricket too. As everyone knows, a strong Junior section has always been vital to the health of ACC.

Club Chairman Roger Hurrion said:

"This award is good recognition for Raminder's work in helping our Junior section achieve so well during this season. We are grateful for all the hard work of volunteers who help Addiscombe's younger player enjoy the game."

And in response to the award Raminder said:

"It was a challenge to step into James Ramsey’s shoes to run the Juniors, but everyone took up the challenge and gave their best this season! Our Junior managers, Akilesh and Ari, have shown great passion. Ari singlehandedly created up new team and Akilesh helped his team move successfully from pairs to standard cricket format. Big thanks to Peter and Nikhil who helped Kevin, our head coach, train the players well. Also thanks to the parents for providing lifts, scoring and umpiring. Also big thanks to Roger Hurrion for helping in training, setting up matches and sorting pitches and to Jon K for his advice and support. And lastly, well done to the players!"
