3. Adam Stevens - 3rd XI Captain

Name: Adam Stevens

Nickname: None suitable for the website!

Club Role: 3rd XI Captain

How would you describe yourself as a player? I am a bowling all-rounder – left arm spin and left handed bat who uses his ‘long levers’ to good effect. Basically, I am an enthusiastic cricketer who loves the game!

How long have you played at Addiscombe?
11 years

What is your best cricketing memory? Representing Addiscombe in the match v The Cross Arrows at Lord’s to celebrate the club’s 150th Anniversary in 2016. (Editor: photo above of Adam at the match with dad, Craig, ACC's Chairman of Selectors - his interview to follow)

What is your most embarrassing moment on a cricket pitch? Calmly shouldering arms and leaving a straight one when batting last season. It missed off stump and leg stump and you can guess the rest.

If you could be any player, past or present, who would it be? Joe Root. I love his batting, his bowling, slip catching...and his funky field placements.

Favourite format to watch: Test cricket for sure

Predictions for Addiscombe's 2020 season: Hopefully we have good season all round for the club with no relegations...and a cracking season for the 3s!

Why is Addiscombe CC a great club to join?
Everyone on and off the pitch are really friendly and social and we offer a good experience for people of a wide range of cricket ability.
