The 6th former with the unique bowling action shares his cricketing thoughts...

'My best cricket memory was taking a hatrick v Dorking in 2018'
- Aaryan Purohit

Name: Aaryan Purohit

Nickname: “Big A”

How would you describe yourself as a player?
I’m a left-arm medium pace bowler. I think most people would describe my action as “unorthodox” to say the least. It always gives me a chance on the first ball of a spell as it can catch the batsman unawares!

Best cricket memory:
As an individual, when I took a hatrick for the 4th XI against Dorking in the 2018 season. (Aaryan finished with 4-23, read the match report)
Team wise, it was when the U15 Addiscombe team won our league in 2017 (team pictured above)

Most embarrassing moment:
Probably when I opened the bowling in a 3s game against Ewell last season at Addington 1743 and got immediately smashed into someone’s back garden.

Favourite player: I love Mitchell Starc’s bowling, his aggressiveness and pace is truly amazing

(watch Big Mitchell's wickets in the 2019 World Cup)

Favourite format to watch:
My favourite to watch is probably ODI. You are able to see class bowling at times as well as some of the explosive batting you see in T20

What are you most looking forward to?

I am most looking forward to playing the season in general again after this whole situation blows over (hopefully!) I’m also looking forward to perhaps batting more as well as bowling, and getting some runs as well as racking more wickets!
