Our Adder of the Week award goes to junior ACC player Ayoub Khan who scored a remarkable 155 last Saturday.
Ayoub was playing for the ACC 5th XI against Sanderstead 5s and it was just his second senior match.
He hit 6 sixes and 14 fours and was responsible for a remarkable 78% of the teams runs scored off the bat.
It is the highest score by an Addiscombe player in the last 13 years (since Jason Moore's 158 in 2008)
Ayoub then kept wicket and took 2 excellent catches as Addiscombe won the match.
5s skipper Ewan Macmillan said:
"Ayoub's innings was a thing of beauty. Sparkling, majestic and glorious! There were shots right out of the batting coaching manual, plus some that are not! Watching him bat was just wonderful, I'll probably never see the likes of that kind of innings again (mostly as he'll never be in my team ever again!). Well done Ayoub!"
Team mate Danny Kuhrt, who scored most of Ayoub's innings said:
"It was the most dominant performance I have ever seen on a cricket pitch."
Well done Ayoub. We hope its the first of many 100s for Addiscombe CC! And all the best in the 3rd XI this weekend!
