Maiden 50 and debut wicket-keeping performance in comprehensive 4s win

'Danny is an enthusastic and 'up-for-any-challenge' player'
- Vinay Malhotra, 4s skipper

Danny Kuhrt is Adder of the Week after his performance in the big 4th XI win by 169 runs last weekend against Trinity Mid-Whits.

Danny opened with Yasir Tufail who continued his fine form with a hard-hit 95 and together they put on over 160 for the first wicket.

Then after Addiscombe finished on 227 off 34 overs, we bowled TMW out for 58. As the other wicket-keepers were unavailable, Danny had volunteered to do a role he had never done before following some intensive practice the week before.

His happy skipper Vinay Malhotra, said:

"To start with, Danny's batting was flawless, and he played a well-thought out and risk-free innings to support Yasir. I am so glad that his first fifty was for my team and this was the highest partnership since I started playing for 4th XI.

What can I say about his keeping! He was like a pro, not a single bye!!! His chats, fearless diving, acrobatic catch and lightning-fast stumping was great. I think he surprised himself by the way he kept! The award is well-deserved as Danny is an enthusiastic and 'up-for-any-challenge' player!"

In response to the award, Danny said:

"It was such a great team performance, everyone played brilliantly to get the win. Big shout to Yasir, who played a fantastic innings. II really enjoyed the 'keeping and getting my first 50 was a great feeling!"
