'Croydon Mencap have helped me to build my confidence, independence and learn new skills...even during Covid they have done an incredible job'
- Kerry Lineker

Kerry Lineker is taking part in a sponsored bike ride to raise money for Mencap. This is a charity we support as a club and would be grateful for any donation of any size.

"My name is Kerry Lineker, I am 32. I was born 3 weeks premature, weighing 3lb 2oz, with CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia) and was given a 40% chance of survival. I have chronic lung disease and use a nebuliser/inhaler to manage my breathing difficulties.
I also have a severe learning disability and attend Croydon Mencap.

Croydon Mencap have helped me to build my confidence, independence and learn new skills. They have also given me the opportunity to make friends and socialise, in a safe environment. Even during COVID, they have done an incredible job supporting all its members on line, with lots of fun activities via zoom.

I would like to raise this money for Mencap so they can continue to do an amazing job and more people with a learning disability can benefit from this wonderful charity, I am going to do 20 lengths of my road on my new bike and I would be grateful for any donations."

Kerry's Dad, Barry Lineker (ACC player & Vice President):
"Over the years people have been kind enough to raise money on Kerry’s behalf, but this time I’m so proud to say that Kerry is the fund raiser, which makes it even better, she’s been in training and is doing well, if you are able to give anything, she, the family and Croydon MENCAP would be very grateful!! Thanks everyone!!"
