Wisey immediately took the initiative and kept the pressure on the Banstead bowlers with strong pulling and powerful backfoot drives. Phil hit 15 fours and played superbly. He got to 99 but then was bowled on the threshold of his ton.

His innings paved the way for our lower-middle order to pile on the runs. Waran hit a quick 69 and this meant we reached 287-7 off our 45 overs. Superb bowling (with zero wides or no-balls) meant we won the match by 136 runs.
