Match Abandoned without a ball being bowled
Since the launch of Fifty Shades of Grey, this has been the wettest summer since records began. This Saturday was no exception as the 2's biggest game of the season (away at 3rd placed Pyrford) succumbed to the elements.
A large wet patch, sitting nicely on a length, meant that no play was possible. A few debates about having a game where bowlers could only bowl half-trackers, yorkers or full-tosses was quickly dismissed as none of the bowlers actually can control where they pitch the ball.
On a brighter note, top placed Woking were also washed out and we were pleased with another demolition job from the 3rd team, where 'Boner' continues to rise to each occasion.
This will be my last report for a couple of weeks as i'm off to sunnier climates. Best of luck to all sides.
Cheers
