Good warm up for league season

The U14s took on the U13s in our traditional warm up match for the season at Addington 1743. The U14s batted first with Sumith (16) looking good and Zach, our most improved player of 2016, looking confident. Tom, the U13 new paceman bowled Zach with a lovely yorker to bring in debutant Mihir at 3. Mihir looked good but was unfortunately run out which brought Jamie to the crease. He batted as confidently as ever and scored a quick 23. Our other new signing, Aaryan batted well at the end and was left 15 not out along with Callum on 7 not out. the U14s ended with 121 off 20 overs.

U14 then bowled with Aaryan and skipper Danny Kuhrt opening the bowling tightly. We bowled solidly with Danny Sampson and Ghalib looking promising and Tom and Srikar both bowling their leg spin nicely. Tom ended with 2-11 off 3 overs. The target was beyond the U13s but new player Tom batted superbly for 30 not out and looks a real find for the U13s.
