U14s lose to Outwood

We bowled pretty well against some strong Outwood batsmen, with Aaryan (1-14 off 4) and Danny K (1-13 off 3) the most economical. Outwood batted sensibly but with one of their openers getting 65 a good total was always on the cards. Their 128 was probably 20 more than it should have been if Addiscombe's fielding and bowling had been a bit tighter.

When we went out to bat Sumith started off brilliantly, pulling their fast bowler imperiously and moving along to 17 very quickly before being brilliantly caught and bowled. New opener Rikky Mano also looked good but we had a crazy over which saw Mihir run out, followed by Jamie also run out by a bullet throw from fine leg. We could have had 3 run-outs in one over due to some more panicky running. But sadly, apart from RIkky, no one else hung around long enough for us to get near Outwood's total and we were all out for 68.

Man of the Match went to Rikky for his classy batting, top scoring with 23. He looks a great addition to the Addiscombe squad.
