Sanderstead Cricket Club 5th XI vs Addiscombe CC 'Adders XI'

Our 1st XI match was rained off before a single ball was bowled - our 2s, 3s and 4s ere similarly abandoned. No matter, because our 5th XI are made of much sterner stuff and were playing on our second pitch next door in a T20 game vs local rivals Addiscombe. It was a thrilling T20 which had everything - a wet ball, an artificial track, codgers galore and a tight finish. Brilliant "grass roots" cricket in the rain that you could only see in England where we are all clearly mad!
