Looking for a cricket club for the new season? Read what ACC's new members said about joining us last season.

"Playing at Addiscombe for my first season was a great experience with loads of friendly people"
- Shafkat Mehmood, new ACC member in 2020

Addiscombe CC always welcomes new players. We are a friendly club which has been playing cricket in Croydon for over 150 years.

We are founder members of the Surrey Championship and you can read about our great history here.

In the 2020 season, despite the challenges of Covid, saw many new members join. For the first time in many years we ran 5 XIs on Saturdays, as well as a midweek T20 side and a Sunday Academy XI for emerging players.

Anyone interested in joining ACC needs to apply to membership by registering on the website. Click JOIN on the top right-hand corner of the website. Please select the XI relevant to the standard you have played before. If you are unsure please select 4th XI.

This season we are waiting for confirmation from the ECB about how the 2021 season will be managed but we are preparing for a full season of fixtures. We will also confirm when and how the outdoor nets at Sandilands can be accessed by members.

Availability for ALL matches is managed via our Pitchero website. Once signed up as members, all new members should download the Pitchero App which makes marking your availability for all matches very easy and quick.

Some of our new members from 2020 season told us how they found their first season:

“I was invited to attend a net session at Addiscombe CC with no real idea of where (if at all) I’d be playing cricket during the 2020 season. During the first session I was met with open arms by a great bunch of lads with a fantastic club ethos! It can be a daunting experience joining a new club but ACC certainly do things the right way and made me feel included from the offset. There is a real sense of togetherness at ACC and this really is a family friendly inclusive for all cricket club. I cannot recommend the club enough. I am certainly looking forward to an enjoyable 2021 with Addiscombe CC. Up the A’s!!"

"Playing at Addiscombe for my first season was a great experience with loads of friendly people. I really enjoyed the game time I got as a newcomer and had a great time at the charity 6-a-side tournament at the end of the season."

Shafkat Mehmood, new member, played for ACC 2nd and 3rd XI (above right)

"In 2020 there was a willingness and dedication from everyone within the club to work through a tough year, getting games out on a regular basis and even managing to create a 5th Saturday side in order for everyone to get a game"
