Curtis Rose wins for his great batting during the past month

I'm happy to have made a few valuable contributions to the team over the past month...hopefully I can take this run-scoring form into the final game of the season!
Curtis Rose

The votes for our Player of the Month award have been counted and verified and we can confirm that...

Curtis Rose is the Addiscombe CC Player of the Month for August.

Curtis has been impressively consistent in his batting for the 2nd XI with scores in August of 44, 71 and 68 in consecutive league matches.

He was promoted to the 1st XI and scored 24 in their win against Streatham & Marlborough last week. He will be playing for the 1st XI v Purley this Saturday at Sandilands.

In response, Curtis said “Thanks everyone for voting for me. I’m happy to have made a few valuable contributions to the team over the past month and I’m very pleased with how comfortable I feel at the crease. Hopefully I can take this run scoring form into the final game of the season!”

Congratulations and well played Curtis!

Kumi Santhakumar was our other nominee for player of the month. In his first season for the club, Kumi has scored 330 runs so far for the 2nd XI, T20 Mitres and Academy XI. It has been great to see him join the club, play so much cricket and do so well.
